Apurawan Traverse
2 days 1 nights - Offered in: English & Tagalog - Small group of 6 to 12 max
- Discover Apurawan Traverse in a two-day private or groupe guided tour
- Convenient round-trip transport with private guide and driver
The Apurawan Traverse is a 15 km trek that takes 7 hours for a slow and easy normal pace or 5 hours at a normal pace. I've heard by the local Tagbanua, that some have done it in 3 hours! The trek is not technical or overly difficult, just some small river crossings and one or two steep climbs, but overhaul, it's an enjoyable and memorable experience.
Activities
Day 1
Leave Puerto Princesa at 6:00 am by private Van to Barangay Apurawan and get on a local Habal-Habal to Daan where the trail begins. With the lead of two local guides, the trek begins. It is a relatively easy trek with only a few small river crossing and a few steep climbs on a well established track used by the local Tagbanua.
The night can be spend near a river or on higher ground, depending on your location when the sun is starting to set. Spending a night in the jungle with the local guides is always a memorable experience.
Day 2
Early weak up with breakfast and cafe for the last trek and descent to Cabigaan village where we will meet our private van for the return to Puerto Princesa at around 16:00. This trek can be done in one single day, but we encourage a 2 days and 1 night trip to enjoy the full experience.
